Mobile Phone Numbers and SMS Authentication
If you choose optional SMS authentication, we collect the mobile phone number you provide, its verification status, and related consent, authentication, and message delivery records needed to provide and secure this feature. We use this information to verify your number, send login verification codes at your request, manage your SMS preferences, and help prevent unauthorized account access. We do not use it to send marketing, promotional, or unrelated SMS messages. Email verification remains available if you do not choose SMS or later opt out.
You must verify a newly added number with a one-time SMS code before it can be used for future SMS login authentication. Changing a registered number requires reauthentication and SMS verification of the replacement number, and we send an email notification confirming the change.
Our application generates and validates verification codes. We use AWS End User Messaging SMS solely for message delivery. To deliver a text, AWS processes the destination mobile number, message content including the verification code, and related delivery information, and works with telecommunications providers to route the message to your device. AWS and/or your carrier manage SMS opt-out and resubscription handling.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The general sharing provisions in this statement do not authorize sharing this information with professional advisors or other third parties for marketing. We share mobile and SMS information with service providers such as AWS and telecommunications providers as needed to deliver and support authentication messages, or as required by law.
We retain mobile phone numbers and related SMS authentication records only as long as reasonably necessary to provide authentication, maintain account security, honor messaging preferences, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or de-identify it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect this information and limit access to authorized personnel and service providers who need it for these purposes. SMS and wireless networks have inherent security limitations, and no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Reply STOP to stop verification texts, START or UNSTOP to resume delivery subject to carrier support, or HELP for assistance, using the number that sent the text. You can continue using email verification after opting out. Message frequency varies based on verification requests, and message and data rates may apply. See the SMS Login Verification section of our Terms of Use for consent, code security, delivery limitations, and details about SMS availability while toll-free registration and messaging setup are pending. An appropriate HELP response with support contact information will be configured before launch.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
ExitPlanShow.tv does not sell, rent or lease its customer list to third parties. We may, however, share your information with the professional advisors you connect with on this website. We may also provide your email address to trusted third parties who deliver communications that you have elected to receive.
